Horse Shows Events located in Texas

HorseShowCentral > Shows Calendar > Texas
Texas horse shows with names, dates, location, and types of classes that each of the TX shows offer. First, let it be known that the American Quarter Horse is the state horse of Texas . It surely cannot be surprising that the state so honors this breed, since their histories are closely joined. Horses have always been important in the work of Texas but they have also been a very large part of the social structure of this state. Horses simply enhance the quality of life for Texans and they are also frequently used in shows and events.

Both the AQHA and the APHA approve many, many shows in Texas, including some of the largest in the nation, Texas became a leader in the breeding and training of the American Saddlebred, and the Tennessee Walker is only more popular in its home state. And as early as 1860, Mules were bred and exported from Texas. Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Miniatures --A good percent of the total horse population of the US can be found in Texas and is part of the very fabric of society in this state, Texas is not horse-poor! All aspects of our national industry and concurrent shows events exist and flourish in Texas.
