#state_name# Property for Sale Suitable for the Horse

Arkansas has not designated a state horse –only 12 states have done so, but living in Arkansas, you will find many, many weekend shows, and these plus rodeo and trail riding are the most popular activities for horse owners. However, there certainly is a TB racing track and TB breeding farms.

Through the state’s horse council there is an online sign up for all 4-H equine activities too. There are several horse associations by breed or discipline , for example – Arabian, Appaloosa, Quarter Horse, Paint, Reining, Barrel Racing, Mini, Dressage, Hunt/Jump, Mo Fox Trotting, even including Chuck Wagon Racing , Horse Artillery, and a Cowboy Association also.

There are even show associations and riding clubs according to areas of the state because of the varied geography: from mountain areas (Highlands); to thick forest-lands in the south (Timberlands); and the River and Delta “natural’ areas. Needless to say the horse property available is equally varied, depending on your landscape of choice!

It’s always best to talk to specific and local equine realtors and also horse people who have lived there, or do live there. Make no mistake though, outdoor sports is big in Arkansas, but do check locally to scope out your favorite breed and discipline activities and popularity.

Be sure to check HSC’s calendar of shows for this state.
