Annual Junior Exhibitor Art/Hat Contest
-June 27, 2012 For the art contest this year, we are asking Junior Exhibitors to create a hat to wear for the Syracuse International Derby. Entries must be completed prior to the show or by thebeginning of the evening sessionWednesday, June 27th, 2012. Hats must be submitted to an ASHA of NYBoard Member or Show Committee Member.The winner will be announcedWednesday evening after the last scheduled class of thesession BEFORE the Open English Pleasure Syracuse International Derby Class. JuniorExhibitors will be invited into center ring wearing their hats. Theywill model their hatsto the audience and will be judged by ALL officials in the center ring. The top threeSyracuse International Derby Hats will be awarded as winners and will be invited togive out the ribbons to the top three winners of the Derby Class.The Grand Prize CashAwardsWill Be:1st Place $110, 2nd Place $60, 3rd Place $30Best of Luck and Have fun!!!!!
Syracuse International Derby
-Wednesday Night Class entrants in the Open English Pleasure Derby Class are requested to bring a picture of your horse. Pictures should be left in the main office upon arrival at the show. All pictures will be returned. The pictures will be set up with a bid sheet in theHospitality Room. People will bid on whichever horse they think will win the class. Bid closing time will be at 4:00 PM onWednesday. At bid closing time, the highest bidder for each horse has until the start of the Wednesday Evening Session to pay yourbid money to the Horse Show Office. Bids MUST be paid in full by the beginning of the evening session or the next person on the list gets the bid. All of the bid money from all of the horses will go intoa pot. The bidder on the first place horse will get 50% of the pot, second place will get 30% and third will get 20%.
The 50/50 Raffle
-June 30, 2012 our Famous $20,000 50/50 Raffle. Each ticket is $100. Remember, if you sponsor a class, you will be given a raffle ticket for every $100 you donate! Sponsorship and advertising options for the Daily Programs are included in the raffle purchase. Our Raffle helps to support our show, our parties, allows us to enhance class payouts and increases our contribution to CNY Hospice.As always, we look forward to seeing you at Syracuse!
