While Ohio has forest and rougher terrain toward the east and southeast, nearing the Allegheny and Appalachian mountains, a large part of the state is fairly flat which makes it incredibly nice for locating horse property, small or large.
Yet if one enjoys more variation, there is a Great Lake (Erie) with a few islands, and many rivers, such as: Great Miami River, Maumee, Cuyahoga, Muskingum and Scioto River. Ohio also offers Cuyahoga Valley, a national park, an Wayne a national forest, plus a number of National Wildlife refuges too. Summers of course are the typical mid-west hot and humid, and winters can get cold. Precipitation is moderate all year.
Ohio has a wide range of housing and building styles , from very famous examples to today’s modern.
