How to Place an Ad

All listings on Horse Show Central have a FREE option, meaning there is no charge to run an ad.

HSC also offers Featured Listings, for a small fee.  To read about the differences between free
and featured, and all information about all listings, visit the Advertising Information page.

To create an ad, follow the following steps:

FIRST STEP -  If you have never placed a listing on HSC,  you must Become a Site User . This form asks you make up a user name and password for yourself.   Once done, you will be taken to your own private, Admin page, your Main Menu page, from which you will be able to create as many and different kinds of ads as you wish.

From your Main Menu page, you are able to enter either a Featured Listing or a Free Listing.

SECOND STEP – When you return to HSC to edit or update your ads, you will click the Site Users LOGIN
Button on the upper left of the homepage, under the header.  Login by typing your user name and password, and you are always taken to your private Main Menu page.   On this page will be the titles of all of your ads and to the right of  each name is an edit button, which allows you to update any information on that single ad.

Important Things to Know:

Ad Titles
When creating titles for your ads, do not duplicate titles.  For example, if you are entering ads for horse shows, and the name of your show is Central Indiana Dressage , and you host several shows a year, then your ad titles should read “Central Indiana Dressage April” and Central Indiana Dressage August”, etc. Each ad title, whatever the ad, should be unique for best results on the site’s sorted search pages.

Breeds and Disciplines enhance the traffic to your ad
When entering most ads, you will see a button for Breeds and a button for Disciplines.  Be sure to checkmark every breed and every discipline that applies to your ad, be it stable, or show etc.   Why ?  Because all ads display multiple times , once each for every breed, discipline, or horse show class your show offers.  Site readers use our site search tool to search for specific things and the more specific things you checkmark, as long as they really apply to you or your show, the easier it will be for people to find you and to read  your promotion.  The more times the ad is read, the more chance of business and success!

Returning to Edit Often, bumps your ad higher on the page
Horse shows must be sorted by putting the most current shows at the top, but with all other ad types, the
sorted pages display the most recent edits/updates at the top, so it is a beneficial practice to return often
to change a date, a title, a worded description, and this also enhances the relevance of your ad.  This is
as true for free ads as for featured ads.  Within the Featured section of each sorted search page, the ads
that have been most recently edited and updated, display closest to the top.  And the same goes for
the Free section of each sorted search page.

Horse Show Central does all it can to provide both current  information and excellent advertising to site users. We care about your success, which is our success.

Those interested in Banner Ads, which rotate in the header of EVERY page of the site, must email for
possibility of placement as these slots are of limited availability.
