|’Saddles Off!’ Judy shot the reins to keep her horse posed while his merits were being weighted. No point, however minute, escaped the official’s eagle eyes. He squinted at the right side from the tip of the nose back to the tip of the tail. He stood behind the horse to note the strong quarters. The judge stood thoughtfully at the left side and rated the gelding on his springy pasterns, fine muscle development, straight back line. Stepping in front of the horse he bent slightly to size up the deep chest and clean, fine legs. ’Good thing we don’t have anything to hide’, thought Judy!
