|’Winner of this class and the trophy donated by Warwick Arms Hotel, ladies and gentlemen, is number 212, Lindy Lou, driven by Miss Judy Carter.’ There was more after that but Judy had no time to listen because Lind intercepted the message and leaped forward so triumphantly Judy needed both her hands and all of her mind of the horse. As neatly as pony express rides passed mailbags to each other, Judy scooped the blue ribbon from the ringmaster’s hand and whirled out of the ring in a blaze of happy triumph.
