Featured Programs or Goals
UPHA Ribbons of Service - Now, saddleseat equitation riders can ride with a new reason in mind: raising funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the rider's selected charity. It's a shared-commitment program that encourages riders to show an American Saddlebred, Arabian (including Half-Arabian), Morgan or National Show Horse in saddleseat equitation competitions, and encourages donors to pledge funds for charity for each class in which the rider shows. The rider is not only responsible for raising the donations, but for performing community service as part of his or her own contribution to the effort....more
UPHA Classics - Classics provide owners and trainers an opportunity to receive substantial prize money. Classes for 3 year olds under, American Saddlebreds; 3 year Morgans; classes for 4 year olds and under, Hackney Ponies....more
UPHA Challenge Cup - Our Challenge Cup is one of the most highly regarded saddle seat equitation classes in the United States.
UPHA Foundation - The charitable portion of UPHA, supports not only the horse show industry, but other areas of the equine industry as well : scholarships; the funding of equine health research; riding for the handicapped; contributes to the United Cerebral Palsy Fund, the American Saddlebred Horse Museum, The American Morgan Horse Institute, the American Horse Council, as well as the National 4-H Council's horse programs.
Membership in the Unted Professional Horsemen's Association provides many advantages and privileges. It is much more than the Classics, Challenge Cup, conventions, and awards. Membership helps sponsors industry related charities, scholarships, and youth programs. Members know that they are part of a united voice that is improving the industry while still striving to recognize the unique capabilities and talents of each member.
